Full of charm and character, this single-storey cottage may be the oldest building on the estate.
It offers spacious accommodation on one level, with just one step down into the living area and three steps down into the double bedroom.
The entrance hallway leads into a large open-plan living/dining/kitchen area. It is furnished with two comfortable 3-seater sofas, a coffee table, standard lamp, a large Welsh dresser and a flat screen TV. Heating is provided by Economy 7 storage heaters and this cottage benefits from an open fire for cooler evenings or winter stays. Pre-cut dried logs and kindling are available from the woodshed.
There is a large pine dining table for 6 and the well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge with freezer box, kettle, toaster and a radio. The cupboards are well stocked with crockery, cutlery, saucepans, a cafetiere and glasses. We supply kitchen essentials such as tea towels, oven glove, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, salt and pepper, teabags, sugar and a pint of milk.
Guests have access to a washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and iron in the separate laundry room.
Steps lead down into the double bedroom, with its exposed beams and views over the garden. An adjoining bedroom also has exposed beams and full-sized bunk beds. There is plenty of wardrobe storage space.
A third, twin, bedroom is off the central hallway and also offers comfortable accommodation. The bathroom has both a bath and shower over.
Fisherman's Cottage has its own large garden with a patio set of furniture. A gate in the corner leads down through the woodland to the river.
There is ample parking available.
Free WiFi Internet access.
What a lucky find. Loved the cottage - spacious, comfortable and homey. Beautiful surroundings - so peaceful. Well equipped including all the extras - they make a big difference. Kids love it and the dog was in heaven - I could move in! Over all very thoughtfully done - we have had a lovely week - thank you.
